How did we miss this when we toured the area? Did the new dock replace an old one?
Looks great! What was the reaction from the laser sailors?

Next week we'll be trying the waters next to the Canandaigua Lady on the end of the new pump-out dock. There is an open parking lot area on one side that is close and then another parking lot further West. We can help tote your boat over and get it set up. Bring a chair so you can sit out on the dock to sail. We'll carry that for you too. Just pull up and beep a couple of times. We'll be watching for you.

Looks like I missed a great afternoon. I drove to the site but could not find a parking spot close enough for me to handle the walk to the launch site carrying the boat. My helper Dick was around. Once again, you folks do a great job and wish I was able to contribute.

I, unfortunately will be unable to attend the Sock burning tradition. It sounds like great fun, but I was born with snow in my blood and came into this world as a product of ski instructor parents. Sailing was a way to pass the summers until skiing began again. I will be researching the crytalized structure of water molecules on the slopes of Vermont. I have advertised your racing to the Solings and hopfully will generate some interest. I will away the next 3 weekends so the green boat will not be getting in your way until the second week of April. Enjoy!

It has nothing to do with sailing adjustments. It's all about crew. You need all six volts to sail upwind in those wonderful winds from the south. Let's try it again. Great fun!!!! Even if it means geting wet.

Yes, it was true that having a second sail did not help. Like a "real" boat, there are plenty of adjustment that I am able to make. I have difficulty in tightening the outhauls sufficiently and surely could have used a tighter setting. On the way back to Rochester, I remembered that should have adjusted the vang also. Clearly my "Alberto Tomba" (slalom downhill skier for you neophyte skiers out there) style of helmsmanship did not help my finishes either. But it was still great fun. Thanks for letting me sail with you.
